TuneShift Privacy Policy
Effective July 19, 2026
TuneShift does not collect, transmit, sell, or share personal data, browsing activity, website content, analytics, diagnostics, or usage information.
What TuneShift accesses
TuneShift runs only on https://www.youtube.com/*. It
accesses the active YouTube tab so it can find the page's video
element and apply pitch and playback-speed changes selected by the
user.
Video and page state used by TuneShift stays inside the browser. Audio processing happens locally on the user's device. TuneShift does not upload audio, page URLs, video details, or control activity to a server.
Local preferences
TuneShift stores the popup's light or dark theme preference in the popup's local browser storage. This preference is not transmitted outside the browser.
Third-party services
TuneShift does not include analytics, advertising, tracking pixels, remote logging, user accounts, or paid services. Using YouTube remains subject to YouTube's own terms and privacy practices.
Changes to this policy
If a future TuneShift version introduces data transmission, this policy and the extension's Firefox data-collection declaration will be updated before that version is released.
